Q: Who is the developer in El Gouna?
A: Orascom is the developer of El Gouna Resort and Red Sea Real Estate together with Orascom on most of the Real Estate projects.
Q: What about Orascom?
A: Orascom was founded back in 1950 by Mr. Onsi Sawiris; and now the Orascom Group can be divided in to five primary operating companies: Orascom Construction Industries, Orascom Technologies, Orascom Telecom, Orascom Hotel Holding and Orascom Projects & Touristic Development. In 1989 Orascom Project & Development (OPTD) was established in order to develop and construct world class destination resorts, like El Gouna. With around 19 million square meters El Gouna is one of Egypt's most recent and eminent tourist development projects. OPTD has always had something special in mind regarding El Gouna. The concept was to create a fully integrated, self-contained community resort from scratch. The central ownership & management control creates a common interest and pooling efforts, enhancing every aspect of the resort and creating an El Gouna standard. It also prevents negative impacts such as overbuilding and pricing extremes.
Q: What about Red Sea Real Estate?
A: El Gouna- Red Sea Real Estate has been a leader in home sales to Europeans since the establishment of the company by Pino D'Alterio in 1995. D'Alterio, General Manager for Red Sea Development, opened the first European sales office in El Gouna and was highly successful in selling plots of land to pioneer owners. In the early stages of the town's development, he had the challenging task of assuring new buyers that by the time their homes were completed, lagoons would be in place to turn their desert plots to waterfront properties. Not only was that initial promise met, the consistent willingness of staff to go the extra mile has increased client confidence in the integrity of investments in El Gouna. The company has grown steadily over the years with a strong team of dedicated, multi-lingual staff. The company's extensive and effective marketing campaigns in Europe have greatly increased property sales and have also served to bring worldwide recognition to the resort. The company now has two prominent offices in El Gouna, one adjacent to the visitor's information center in Tamr Henna Square downtown, and a second office next to the Turtle's Inn in the Abu Tig Marina. Both offices are open eight hours a day, seven days a week, and staffed by highly-trained professionals who provide clients, both existing and prospective, with far more than the sale of homes.
Q: Why Red Sea Real Estate and Orascom are the only Realtors inside El Gouna?
A: Because El Gouna- Red Sea Real Estate has earned its high reputation through great effort, and the company's sales team remains committed to the future of El Gouna and to upholding the high standards the company has set for itself. These two offices have been given exclusivity for the UK, Irish and Italian markets. Additionally, the company shares the following markets with Orascom: Belgium, Sweden, Norway, Finland, South Africa and the countries of Eastern Europe.
Q: If I buy a property, how many month of the year I can use it? What is the weather like?
A: Year round sunshine, minimal rain, 36C degree summers and 20C degree winters. Water temperature ranges between 20C to 26C degrees.
